ZHEERA, derived from the Shona word meaning “the road,” represents the founder’s personal journey and struggles as a woman and single parent. It signifies the various paths and challenges women face in their lives. Inspired by this understanding, ZHEERA Trust was established in 2019 to support and build the capacities of women and girls.

Our organization focuses on providing knowledge about sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) through community dialogues and workshops. We believe in the power of collective support, listening, and finding solutions to the issues affecting women. By embracing the concept of the road or journey, we encourage women to navigate their paths while holding each other’s hands.
